3-Day Goa Itinerary for shoestring budget travellers in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Panaji
    30 minutes (14.2 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at the stunning Baroque architecture. Enjoy a traditional Goan lunch in one of the local eateries. In the afternoon, take a stroll down the charming Latin Quarter of Fontainhas and explore the colourful Portuguese-style houses. In the evening, enjoy a scenic sunset boat cruise on the Mandovi river.

  2. Day 2: Anjuna
    1 hour (20.4 km) from Panaji

    Start your day at the sprawling Anjuna flea market, held every Wednesday. Shop for unique souvenirs, try some street food and soak in the buzzing atmosphere. Afternoon, relax on the Anjuna beach and try some water sports or simply sunbathe. In the evening, visit the Chapora Fort, made famous by the Bollywood movie 'Dil Chahta Hai' and enjoy the stunning views of the Arabian sea from the top.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours (77.7 km) from Anjuna

    Get an early start to visit the famous Dudhsagar waterfalls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. Take a dip in the refreshing waters and enjoy the picturesque views. Afternoon, visit the Spice Plantation to learn about the various spices grown in Goa and enjoy a traditional Goan lunch. In the evening, return to your hotel and take some time to relax before heading back home.
