6-Day Itinerary for Georgia in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Atlanta Botanical Garden
    15 minutes (5 miles) from downtown Atlanta

    In the morning, explore the Atlanta Botanical Garden featuring a vast collection of plants from all over the globe. In the afternoon, visit Piedmont Park, one of the largest parks in the city spanning over 200 acres, perfect for a picnic. In the evening, head to the historic Buckhead district for shopping and dining.

  2. Day 2: Georgia Aquarium & World of Coca-Cola
    10 minutes (2.5 miles) from downtown Atlanta

    Explore the underwater world at the Georgia Aquarium in the morning with over 120,000 animals. In the afternoon, visit the World of Coca-Cola to learn about the history of the famous soda brand. In the evening, head to the vibrant Midtown district for dinner and live music.

  3. Day 3: Savannah Historic District
    3.5 hours (245 miles) from Atlanta

    Take a road trip to the charming coastal city of Savannah, known for its historic district and beautiful parks. Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the charming city of Athens, home to the University of Georgia and some of the state's best restaurants. You can also take a day trip to the Chattahoochee National Forest, where you can hike and explore the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. To maximize your fun, consider visiting Georgia in the fall when the weather is cooler, and the leaves are changing.
