3-Day Honeymoon Itinerary for Nainital in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Naini Lake
    10 minutes (1.5 km) from Tallital Bus Stand

    Start your day with a romantic boat ride in the Naini Lake, surrounded by lush green hills. After the ride, explore the nearby Tibetan Market, which offers a variety of handmade crafts. In the afternoon, visit the Naina Devi Temple, located on the northern end of the lake, and get blessings for your new journey. As the sun sets, take a walk on the Thandi Sadak or "cold road," a serene walkway around the lake, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

  2. Day 2: Snow View Point
    45 minutes (7.5 km) from Naini Lake

    On the second day, head towards the Snow View Point, offering a stunning panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trisul, and Nanda Kot. The place is accessible by a cable car ride from the Mallital area. Spend the afternoon at the Eco Cave Gardens, a natural park featuring six interconnected caves, forming a unique network of tunnels and crawling paths. As the day ends, return to the Mall Road, the town's main street, offering a wide range of shops and restaurants.

  3. Day 3: Pangot
    1 hour 20 minutes (17 km) from Snow View Point

    On the third day, head towards Pangot, a small and peaceful hamlet located in the lap of the Himalayas. Enjoy the scenic drive through the dense forest of Cheena Peak Range and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary. Pangot is also an ideal place for bird watching, with over 580 species of birds recorded.
