Recommendations

If you have more time, visit the Madikeri Fort, a historical landmark that was once the stronghold of the Kodagu region. You can also take a trek to the Brahmagiri Peak, the highest peak in Kodagu. For a side trip, visit the Nagarhole National Park to spot some wildlife. To maximize your fun, try the local cuisine, especially the Coorgi Pandi Curry (pork curry), and shop for some handmade chocolates and spices. Don't forget to carry comfortable walking shoes and light jackets as the weather can be chilly in the evenings.
