6-Day Andaman Nicobar Itinerary - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Port Blair
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Veer Savarkar International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Cellular Jail National Memorial, which served as a colonial prison. Afternoon, explore the Anthropological Museum to learn about the indigenous tribes of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In the evening, take a stroll at Corbyn's Cove Beach and watch a beautiful sunset.

  2. Day 2: Havelock Island
    2 hours (54 km) by ferry from Port Blair

    Explore the pristine beaches of Radhanagar and Elephant Beach. Try snorkelling and scuba diving to discover the marine life. In the evening, go for a walk in the local market and try some seafood.

  3. Day 3: Neil Island
    1 hour (36 km) by ferry from Havelock Island

    Visit the Natural Bridge, a unique rock formation on the beach. Take a glass-bottom boat ride to experience the coral reefs up close. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Bharatpur Beach.

  4. Day 4: Ross Island
    20 minutes (3.8 km) by ferry from Port Blair

    Explore the ruins of British colonial buildings and the Japanese bunkers from World War II. In the afternoon, take a boat ride to North Bay Island and try snorkelling and scuba diving. In the evening, visit the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum to learn about the marine life of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

  5. Day 5: Baratang Island
    3 hours (100 km) from Port Blair

    Explore the famous Mud Volcano and limestone caves. Take a boat ride through the mangrove forests to see the rare Jarawa tribes. In the evening, relax at the Parrot Island and watch the parrots returning to their nests.

  6. Day 6: Mount Harriet National Park
    1 hour (20 km) from Port Blair

    Visit the highest peak in the South Andaman Islands, Mount Harriet, and experience the breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, take a trek through the jungle to Madhuban and see the exotic flora and fauna. In the evening, head back to Port Blair and enjoy some local cuisine.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Chatham Saw Mill, or the Cinque Island. Side trips to the Barren Island, the only active volcano in South Asia, can also be arranged. To maximize your fun, try water sports like kayaking, jet skiing, and parasailing.
