5-Day Cultural Immersion Itinerary: Mathura, Vrindavan, Agra - August 2023

  1. Day 1: Mathura
    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Vrindavan

    In the morning, visit the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Then head to the Dwarkadhish Temple to witness the aarti ceremony. In the afternoon, walk around the holy Yamuna River and watch the sunset from Vishram Ghat. Finally, end your day with some delicious street food near Holi Gate.

  2. Day 2: Vrindavan
    25 minutes (12 km) from Mathura

    Begin your day at the Banke Bihari Temple, known for its beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. Then head to the Radha Raman Temple and offer prayers to Lord Krishna. In the afternoon, explore the Prem Mandir, a stunning white marble temple with intricate carvings and light shows.   3. Day 3: Agra

  4. Day 4: Agra

    In the morning, visit the Itimad-ud-Daulah, also known as the Baby Taj, a beautiful tomb with intricate marble inlay work. Then head to the Akbar Mausoleum, a grand structure built in memory of Akbar, the greatest of the Mughal emperors. In the afternoon, visit the Kinari Bazaar and indulge in some souvenir shopping. End your day with a visit to the Jama Masjid and attend the evening aarti ceremony.

  5. Day 5: Agra
    25 minutes (10 km) from Jama Masjid

    On your last day, visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of the Mughal Empire. Explore the stunning palaces and courtyards, including the Buland Darwaza, the highest gateway in the world. Return to Agra in the evening and enjoy a delicious farewell dinner before your journey back home.
