  • Day 1: Arrival in Cancun
    15 minutes (12 km) from Cancun International Airport to Hotel District

    You and your group will arrive in Cancun and check into your hotel in Hotel District. Spend the day relaxing on the beautiful beaches, getting to know the area, and finding a fun local restaurant or bar to kick off your trip.

  • Day 2: Scuba Diving and Snorkeling at Isle Mujeres
    35 minutes (16 km) ferry ride from Cancun Hotel District to Isla Mujeres

    After breakfast, take a ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres, known for its beautiful reefs and crystal-clear water. Hire a local guide for a fun and safe scuba diving and snorkeling experience to see beautiful coral, tropical fish, and even sea turtles. When you return to Cancun, indulge in the lively nightlife, famous for its beach bars and clubs.

  • Day 3: Exploring Chichen Itza Archaeological Zone
    2 hours (180 km) from Cancun Hotel District to Chichen Itza

    Chichen Itza is one of the most famous and impressive pre-Columbian archaeological sites in Mexico.   • Day 4: ATV Adventure in Playa del Carmen

    After breakfast, rent ATVs and ride through the dense jungle trails for a fun and adventurous day in Playa del Carmen. Stop by cenotes for a quick swim or snorkel, and take a break at a local beach club for lunch and a cold drink. Ride back to Cancun for dinner and hit up some of the local karaoke bars and nightclubs.

  • Day 5: Visit Tulum's Ruins and relax on the beach
    1.5 hours (133 km) from Cancun Hotel District to Tulum Ruins

    Spend the morning exploring the beautiful Mayan ruins of Tulum, perched on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. After the tour, head down to the beautiful Tulum beach to soak up the sun and relax on the sand. For dinner, try a local seafood restaurant serving fresh ceviche and other traditional dishes.

  • Day 6: Boat tour and Island Hopping in Cozumel
    45 minutes (20 km) ferry ride from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel

    Take a ferry to Cozumel for a day of island hopping and exploring. Hire a local guide for a boat tour to see the beautiful reef and other hidden beaches. Have lunch at a local seafront restaurant before returning to Cancun for dinner at a local steakhouse or rooftop bar.

  • Day 7: Departure from Cancun
    15 minutes (12 km) from Cancun Hotel District to Cancun International Airport

    Check out of your hotel and head to the airport for your departure. Take one last walk on the beach or grab some souvenirs at the airport before leaving for home.

Transportation

During your trip to Mexico, it’s highly recommended to rent a car or hire a private driver for your activities. It’s especially beneficial to have transportation when heading to locations such as Chichen Itza and Tulum. Taxis are available to get around the cities and to/from the airport, but can add up quickly. The estimated transportation cost for the week-long trip is $400.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, an additional day trip to Xcaret can be added, which includes outdoor activities such as swimming in underground rivers, exploring cenotes, and visiting a wildlife sanctuary to see animals that are native to the region..

If you have less time, removing a day trip to Playa del Carmen can make the overall travel more relaxed.

Airports

Cancun International Airport (CUN) is the main airport for flying into Mexico. It’s located about 15 minutes from the Cancun Hotel District and around 30 minutes from Playa del Carmen. The airport has three terminals, and all of the major airline companies fly into and out of Cancun.
