2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Bir in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Paraglide at Billing
    15 minutes (7.5 km) from Bir Bus Stand

    Start your day early at Billing, which is the take-off site for paragliding. Get an adrenaline rush while flying over the beautiful valleys surrounded by the Dhauladhar range. Enjoy the aerial view of the forest of Oak, Rhododendron, and Cedar trees. After landing back, visit the Tibetan colony in Chowgan and grab a bite. In the afternoon, head to the Bir tea factory for a refreshing cup of tea and a tour of the factory. End your day at Bir Road for dinner and live music.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Rajgundha
    40 minutes (14 km) from Bir Bus Stand

    Start your day early with a breakfast of local cuisine at Silver Linings Cafe. After breakfast, head towards the Barot valley for a trek to Rajgundha. The trek is through a dense forest and has a spectacular view of the Himalayan range. After the trek, refresh yourself with a dip in the natural hot water spring at KukkarGundha. End your day with a bonfire and dinner at Barot Valley.

Recommendations

Other than the itinerary, you can visit the Baijnath Temple, the oldest temple in the Kangra district. Also, you can go for a visit to the Andretta Pottery Studio, which is famous for its pottery and art. If you have an extra day, you can visit the famous McLeod Ganj and the Dalai Lama temple. For maximizing your fun, you can try camping at the Barot Valley and experience stargazing at night. And lastly, don't forget to try the local delicacy, Siddu, which is a steamed dough stuffed with filling.
