Relaxing Jaipur 4-Day Itinerary for September 2023

  1. Day 1: Amer Fort
    25 minutes (7.5 km) from Jaipur city center

    In the morning, visit the magnificent Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the different sections of the fort, including the Diwan-i-Aam, Sheesh Mahal, and Ganesh Pol. In the afternoon, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens of the fort, situated on the banks of Maota Lake. In the evening, attend the Sound and Light Show, which showcases the history of the fort in a unique way.

  2. Day 2: Jaigarh Fort
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Amer Fort

    Start your day by visiting Jaigarh Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking Amer Fort. Explore the different sections of the fort, including the museum, armory, and the world's largest cannon on wheels, Jaivana. In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch in the lush gardens of the fort. In the evening, head to the nearby Nahargarh Fort to enjoy the sunset and panoramic views of Jaipur.

  3. Day 3: Jantar Mantar and City Palace

    Visit Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the morning. This astronomical observatory consists of 19 instruments designed to measure time, track celestial bodies and predict eclipses. After lunch, explore the stunning City Palace, which houses museums, galleries, and the royal family's private residence. Do not miss the magnificent Peacock Gate and the armory section of the palace. In the evening, take a walk in the palace gardens and enjoy the beautiful fountains and sculptures.

  4. Day 4: Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal
    15 minutes (5 km) from City Palace

    Start your day by visiting Jal Mahal, a stunning palace situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Take a boat ride to get a closer look at the palace's intricate architecture and enjoy the serene surroundings. After lunch, visit the iconic Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Wind. This beautiful structure is made of red and pink sandstone and consists of 953 small windows (jharokhas) that allow the breeze to pass through. Do not forget to take a selfie in front of this Instagram-worthy palace.

You can also consider taking a day trip to the nearby city of Ajmer to visit the famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah and the stunning Ana Sagar Lake. To maximize your fun, take a hot air balloon ride over Jaipur to get a bird's eye view of the city's beautiful landscapes.
