Two-Day Itinerary for Igatpuri in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bhatsa River Valley
    30 minutes (15 miles) from Igatpuri Station

    In the morning, you'll drive to Bhatsa River Valley, a beautiful valley that's perfect for nature enthusiasts. You can take a walk through the lush green forests and explore the wildlife. You might spot some exotic birds in the area. In the afternoon, you can visit the Bhatsa Dam, which is a popular tourist spot. Spend some time near the dam and take in the scenic beauty. End your day with a visit to the Ghatandevi Temple, a popular temple dedicated to the goddess of the Ghats.

  2. Day 2: Kalsubai Peak
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 miles) from Bhatsa River Valley

    On your second day, you'll visit the Kalsubai Peak. This is the highest peak in Maharashtra and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You can go hiking to the top of the peak and enjoy nature's beauty. In the afternoon, you can visit the Tringalwadi Fort, which is a historic fort on top of a hill. Take a walk around the fort and enjoy the stunning views around you. End your day with a visit to the Amruteshwar Temple, which is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
