In the morning, check-in to your hotel and freshen up. Devote the afternoon to exploring the city of Rishikesh, known as the "Yoga Capital of the World". Visit the iconic Laxman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges River. Take a dip in the holy river, visit the Beatles Ashram that the band visited in 1968, and explore the local markets for some souvenirs. In the evening, be sure to witness the grand Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic, five-hour drive to Chopta, the base camp for the Tungnath trek. En route, visit the Tehri Dam and the Kempty Falls. Upon arrival in Chopta, check-in to your hotel and rest for the night.
Start early in the morning to trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, and also visit the Chandrashila summit. The trek is a 5 km ascent, and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
