Bangalore 3-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Lalbagh Botanical Garden
    15 minutes (4.6 miles) from Bangalore City Railway Station

    In the morning, explore the 240-acre garden which has over 1,000 species of plants. Don't miss the Glass House, which was modeled on London's Crystal Palace. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, a stunning example of Indo-Islamic architecture. End the day at the Bangalore Palace, a beautiful Tudor-style palace with stunning gardens.

  2. Day 2: Cubbon Park and Bangalore Fort
    10 minutes (2.5 miles) from Bangalore Palace

    Start the day at Cubbon Park, a 300-acre green oasis in the heart of Bangalore. Visit the State Archeological Museum and the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Bangalore Fort, a mud fortification built in 1537 by Kempegowda, the founder of Bangalore. Also, check out the nearby Venkatappa Art Gallery. End the day at the Ulsoor Lake, one of the largest lakes in Bangalore.

  3. Day 3: Bannerghatta National Park
    1 hour 20 minutes (20.1 miles) from Ulsoor Lake

    Visit the Bannerghatta National Park in the morning, which is home to over 1500 species of fauna and flora. See lions, tigers, bears, and other animals in the zoo section. Take a safari and spot wild animals such as Bengal tigers, leopards, and Indian elephants. In the afternoon, visit the ISKCON temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. End your day at the Wonderla Amusement Park, which offers over 60 rides and attractions.

Recommendations

If you have an extra day, visit the Nandi Hills, which is an hour's drive from Bangalore. It is a beautiful hill station that offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. You can also visit the Bangalore Palace in the evening to see it lit up in all its glory. Don't forget to try the local cuisine, such as dosa, idli, and vada. To maximize your fun, try the local beer, Kingfisher, and go shopping at the Commercial Street or Brigade Road. For a side trip, visit Mysore, which is two hours' drive from Bangalore and is famous for its palaces, gardens, and silk sarees.
