2-Day Honeymoon Itinerary in Goa (June 2023)

  1. Day 1: Beach Bliss
    40 minutes (19.5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your day at Baga Beach, one of Goa's most popular beaches. Enjoy a peaceful stroll along the shoreline, or rent a bike to explore the surrounding areas. You can even take part in a yoga class to start your day feeling refreshed and energized.

    Afternoon: Head to Calangute Beach, the largest and busiest beach in Goa. Here you can indulge in some water sports like parasailing, jet skiing or banana boat ride. This beach also has a plethora of beach shacks where you can relish some delicious seafood while enjoying the view of the sea.

    Evening: End your day watching the sunset at Anjuna Beach. This beach is famous for its Wednesday Flea Market. You can shop for some souvenirs, jewelry or clothes at the market. In the evening, the beach is illuminated with lanterns and candles, creating a romantic ambiance that is perfect for a honeymoon.

  2. Day 2: Cultural Exploration
    1 hour 11 minutes (33.3 miles) from Anjuna Beach

    Morning: Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous attractions in Goa. Built in the 16th century, the church houses the tomb of St. Francis Xavier.

    Afternoon: Explore the vibrant Latin Quarter of Goa, Fontainhas. The narrow lanes of Fontainhas are lined with colorful Portuguese-style houses, art galleries and cafes. You can also visit the Mario Miranda Gallery to admire the works of one of Goa's most famous artists.

    Evening: End your day at Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. The fort is also home to a lighthouse and a luxurious hotel. You can take a romantic walk around the fort and watch the sunset over the sea.

Recommendations

Apart from the places mentioned above, you can also visit the Dudhsagar Falls, a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River, or take a river cruise on the Mandovi River. You can also try some adventure sports like white water rafting or trekking at the nearby nature reserves. To maximize your fun, you can rent a bike or scooter to explore the state at your own pace.
