Sawai Madhopur Nature Tour

  1. Day 1: Ranthambore National Park
    20 minutes (8.8 km) from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station

    In the morning, head to Ranthambore National Park and opt for a jeep safari to explore the park’s vast biodiverse terrain. After lunch, visit the Ranthambore Fort, which dates back to the 10th century.   4. Day 4: Ranthambore School of Art

    Start your day at the Ranthambore School of Art, where you can witness the region’s artistic heritage. After lunch, visit the Chauth Mata Temple, an important shrine for the locals. In the evening, take a sunset walk around the Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary, another nature reserve that is home to many endangered species.

  5. Day 5: Malik Talao

  6. Day 6: Padam Lake
    20 minutes (7.6 km) from Malik Talao

    On your final day, visit Padam Lake to witness the serene beauty of the water surrounded by a lush green forest. In the afternoon, visit the Khandar Fort, an ancient fort on the outskirts of Sawai Madhopur. In the evening, head back to the city centre and shop for some souvenirs before departing.

If time permits, visit the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve Museum for an insight into the conservation efforts of the reserve. Another great side trip is a visit to the Surwal Lake Bird Sanctuary, which is home to over 170 species of migratory birds. Make sure to carry a good zoom lens for a closer look.
