Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, which is only a 3 hour 30 minutes drive from Rameshwaram. You can also take a side trip to Munnar, a beautiful hill station, located 4 hours from Kodaikanal. To maximize your fun, try some local delicacies like Puttu, Appam, and Idiyappam. We also recommend booking a private car to travel between cities and hiring a local tour guide to learn more about the history and culture of each place.
