5-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Chakrata

  1. Day 1: Explore Dehradun

    In the morning, visit Robber's Cave to explore the natural beauty and enjoy a refreshing dip in the water. In the afternoon, visit the famous Tapkeshwar Temple and seek blessings from Lord Shiva. In the evening, stroll around Paltan Bazaar and indulge in some shopping or try out the local street food.

  2. Day 2: Discover Mussoorie
    1 hour 20 minutes (35.5 km) from Dehradun

    Start your day by visiting the famous Kempty Falls and take a dip in its cool water. In the afternoon, visit the Gun Hill Point for a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, take a walk at Mall Road and enjoy the street food and local shopping.

  3. Day 3: Explore Mussoorie
    20 minutes (4.9 km) from Mall Road

    In the morning, visit the Cloud's End and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. In the afternoon, explore the Sir George Everest House and marvel at the architecture and history of the place. In the evening, head to Landour Bazaar for some more shopping and local food.

  4. Day 4: Experience Chakrata

  5. Day 5: End of the Trip

    It's time to say goodbye to the beautiful places and head back home. If time permits, visit the Mindrolling Monastery before heading to the airport for your flight back home.

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can add a day to your visit to Mussoorie and visit the Mussoorie Lake and Camel's Back Road. You can also visit the Rajaji National Park for wildlife sightings.
