4-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    30 minutes (8.9 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. Then, head to the Fontainhas neighborhood to stroll along colorful streets with Portuguese-style houses. In the afternoon, visit the Goa State Museum to learn about the state's history and culture. Finish the day by watching the sunset at Miramar Beach.

  2. Day 2: Relax in Anjuna
    1 hour (20.5 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Anjuna Flea Market to shop for souvenirs and try local street food. In the afternoon, relax at Anjuna Beach, known for its stunning views of the Arabian Sea and red cliffs. Enjoy the sunset at Ozran Beach, also called Little Vagator, which is a quieter alternative to nearby Vagator Beach.

  3. Day 3: Discover Old Goa
    30 minutes (9.9 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus to see the preserved body of St. Francis Xavier. Then, explore the nearby ruins of St. Augustine's Tower and Church of St. Cajetan. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art to see a collection of religious artifacts. End the day with a river cruise along the Mandovi River in Panaji.

  4. Day 4: Hike in Dudhsagar
    2 hours (63.5 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, take a train to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. From the station, hike through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary to reach the falls. In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing swim in the falls' natural pool. Finish the day with a train ride back to Panaji.
