2-Day Kerala Nature Itinerary in July 2024

  1. Day 1: Periyar National Park
    3 hours 10 minutes (96.7 km) from Cochin International Airport

    Start your day early and head to Periyar National Park, one of the most biodiverse areas in the world. Enjoy a guided nature walk through the park in the morning to spot animals in their natural habitat and learn about the flora and fauna of the region. In the afternoon, take a boat ride along Periyar Lake, where you can see elephants, tigers, and other wildlife along the banks. In the evening, visit the Kadathanadan Kalari Centre to witness a traditional martial arts performance.

  2. Day 2: Munnar Tea Plantations
    3 hours 30 minutes (124.8 km) from Periyar National Park

    Start your day with a visit to the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, the highest tea plantation in the world. Take a guided tour of the estate to learn about the tea-making process and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, visit the Tata Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea production in the region and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea. In the evening, take a stroll through the lush tea plantations and enjoy the cool mountain breeze.

If you have more time, consider visiting the backwaters of Alleppey for a relaxing boat ride or the hill station of Wayanad for a trekking experience.
