3-Day City Experience Itinerary for Goa, December 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Historic and Cultural Sites of Panaji
    30 minutes (15 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 16th century. Marvel at its beautiful Baroque architecture and the preserved body of St. Francis Xavier.   2. Day 2: Soak up the Sun and Fun in North Goa
    1 hour (23 miles) from Panaji

    Start the day early with a visit to the bustling Anjuna Flea Market, which only runs on Wednesdays in December. Browse through colorful stalls selling everything from clothes and jewelry to spices and souvenirs. In the afternoon, head to Vagator Beach for some sunbathing and water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. For sunset, drive to the iconic Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. End the day with a party at one of the many clubs and bars in Baga or Calangute.

  3. Day 3: Get a Glimpse of Local Village Life in South Goa
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 miles) from North Goa

    Drive to the village of Loutolim in South Goa to visit the ancestral home of the Figueiredo family, a prominent Goan family. The 400-year-old house has been beautifully preserved and showcases traditional Goan architecture and furniture. For lunch, head to Martin's Corner, a popular seafood restaurant that has been around for over 30 years. In the afternoon, visit the Sahakari Spice Farm to learn about the cultivation of spices like black pepper, cardamom, and nutmeg. End the day with a sunset view at Cola Beach, a secluded and pristine beach that is perfect for a quiet evening.

If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the Dudhsagar Falls or the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park.
