In the morning, head to the Gilbert Nature Trail, a 1.5 km scenic walking trail in the midst of dense forest. Get a chance to spot some of the endangered bird species of the Himalayas. Afternoon can be spent exploring the Kasauli Brewery, which is the oldest distillery for scotch whiskey in Asia. The evening can be spent at the famous Sunset Point, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Start the morning with a visit to the Kasauli Club, a colonial-era club with indoor and outdoor sports facilities. In the afternoon, visit the Gurkha Fort, which was built in the early 19th century by the British. The fort offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys. End the day with a visit to the Christ Church, which is the oldest church in Himachal Pradesh and has beautiful stained glass windows.
On the last day, visit the Monkey Point, which is the highest point in Kasauli and has a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The trek up to the point is scenic and worth it. Spend the afternoon at the Kasauli Tibetan Market, which has a variety of souvenirs and local handicrafts. In the evening, head to the Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival (held in April), which brings together popular artists from across India.
If you have extra time, you can also visit the Dagshai Jail Museum, which is a colonial-era jail converted into a museum. For a side trip, visit the nearby town of Solan, which is famous for its brewery tours and temples. To maximize your fun, try local delicacies like the Himachali Dham, which is a traditional feast, and the Siddu, which is a steamed bread stuffed with lentils.
