5-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Sri Lanka in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Colombo
    30 mins (22.5 km) from Bandaranaike International Airport

    In the morning, visit the National Museum of Colombo to learn about Sri Lanka's history and culture.   2. Day 2: Sigiriya

Then, head to Unawatuna Beach, one of Sri Lanka's most popular beaches, for some sun and sea. In the afternoon, visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa with picturesque views of the sea. In the evening, take a stroll on the Galle Promenade and enjoy the sea breeze.

  5. Day 5: Colombo
    2.5 hours (120 km) from Galle

    In the morning, visit the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, a famous Buddhist temple with a history that dates back to the 3rd century BC. Then, head to the Colombo Zoological Gardens, one of the oldest zoos in Asia, and see its wide variety of animals.
