5-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Colva Beach
    20 minutes (7.2 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, hit the Colva Beach for some fun in the sun. Indulge in water sports activities like jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides. Have lunch at one of the seaside shacks offering delicious seafood. Visit the Our Lady of Merces Church in the afternoon, which is an ancient church built in 1630. In the evening, explore the Colva Promenade, where you can find plenty of shops selling local handicrafts and souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 30 minutes (70.7 km) from Colva Beach

    Start early and drive to the Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Enjoy the breathtaking views and take a refreshing dip in the natural pool. Have lunch nearby and visit the nearby Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple, an ancient 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Return to your hotel in the evening.

  3. Day 3: Basilica of Bom Jesus

    Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which houses the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. Explore the museum and art gallery inside the basilica. Have lunch at the nearby cafes and explore the nearby Fontainhas, an old Latin Quarter of Goa filled with colorful houses and cafes. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River.

  4. Day 4: Anjuna Beach

  5. Day 5: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

    Visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, which is spread over 1.8 square kilometers and is home to a variety of bird species. Take a guided boat tour and see the birds in their natural habitat. Have lunch nearby and visit the nearby Reis Magos Fort, a 16th-century Portuguese fort. In the evening, take a stroll on the Miramar Beach and enjoy the sunset.
