Assam, another northeastern state nearby, is famous for its tea gardens. You can visit the Jorhat Tea Estate, which is about 5 hours from Kaziranga National Park. The singing bowls of Manipur and the traditional crafts of Nagaland are also worth exploring. You can also plan a side trip to the neighboring state of Meghalaya and visit the living root bridges of Mawlynnong. To maximize your fun, try the local cuisine, which includes bamboo shoot pickle, smoked meat, and pitha (rice cakes).

If you're interested in adventure activities, you can go river rafting in the Brahmaputra River or trek to the Dzukou Valley in Nagaland. You can also attend the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland, which takes place in December and celebrates the region's diverse cultures.
