The building's architecture is stunning, with a Neo-Gothic style that's sure to take your breath away.
Fisherman's Bastion is a unique structure that offers fantastic views of the city. This historic fortification is well known for its seven towers that represent the seven Magyar tribes that founded Hungary. About 5 mins walk from here is the Matthias Church with its stunning architecture with intricate motifs and colors. It is also a historical treasure and breathtaking to view.
Budapest has an extensive transportation system with buses, trams, and trains connecting all parts of the city. To explore the city, buying a Budapest Card is an excellent option. From the airport, the most convenient way of reaching the city centre is by bus or taxi. A taxi ride to city centre should cost around £25-30 and take about 30-40 minutes.
If you have more time, you could add a visit to the Great Market Hall, Gellért Hill, and the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. For night owls, Budapest has lots of pubs and clubs that are world-renowned, including Ruin Bars located around the Jewish Quarter. If you have less time, consider taking a hop-on-hop-off bus tour which covers most of the major highlights of Budapest.
