4-Day Itinerary for Mumbai in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Gateway of India
    20 minutes (7.8 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

    In the morning, visit the Gateway of India, one of Mumbai's most iconic landmarks. Take a boat ride to the nearby Elephanta Caves to explore the ancient rock-cut temples. In the afternoon, head to Colaba Causeway, a bustling street market, to shop for souvenirs and try local street food. In the evening, stroll along Marine Drive, also known as the Queen's Necklace, and take in the stunning views of the Arabian Sea.

  2. Day 2: Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Crawford Market
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Gateway of India

    In the morning, visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Mumbai's busiest railway stations. Take a guided tour to learn about its history and architecture. In the afternoon, head to Crawford Market, one of the city's largest and oldest markets, to buy fresh produce and spices. In the evening, visit the nearby Mumba Devi Temple, one of Mumbai's oldest Hindu temples.

  3. Day 3: Bandra and Haji Ali Dargah
    30 minutes (10 km) from Crawford Market

    In the morning, visit the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, a cable-stayed bridge that connects Bandra to Worli. Take a walk along Bandstand Promenade and enjoy the views of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, visit Mount Mary Church, a Roman Catholic church in Bandra. Then head to Haji Ali Dargah, a mosque and tomb located on an islet off the coast of Worli. In the evening, relax at Juhu Beach and try some local street food.

  4. Day 4: Sanjay Gandhi National Park
    1 hour 15 minutes (35 km) from Juhu Beach

    In the morning, visit Sanjay Gandhi National Park, one of the largest national parks in the world located within city limits. Take a nature walk, visit the Kanheri Caves, or go on a safari to see leopards, deer, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Global Vipassana Pagoda, a meditation dome hall and a monument of peace. In the evening, head back to the city and enjoy a traditional Thali meal at a local restaurant.
