Rosemead is a small city that can be easily explored on foot or by car. Visitors can also use ride-sharing services such as Uber or Lyft. Public transportation is available, but it is not as reliable as in other big cities. Expect to pay around $20 for a one-way Uber/Lyft ride from downtown Los Angeles to Rosemead (approximately 20 miles) and around $50 for a one-way taxi ride.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, hiking in the nearby San Gabriel Mountains, or exploring the Huntington Library and Gardens. As Rosemead is a small town, most shops and restaurants close early, around 9 pm. If you have less time, skip Legge Alley and/or O'Tooles Tavern.
