The colourful bohemian culture of the area is fascinating, and the stunning sunset will take your breath away.
Dudhsagar Waterfalls, translated to Sea of Milk, is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Surrounded by lush green forest and a diversity of flora and fauna this is a must-visit attraction. You can swim, take a dip or just take in its beauty. The railway track running adjacent to it adds a unique touch to this magical natural wonder.
Public transport like buses or taxis are the cheapest way to get around. Uber and Ola taxis are also available at reasonable rates. Renting a bike is also a popular choice to explore Goa. Expect to pay around INR 300-500 ($4-$7) for short journeys and INR 1000-1500 ($14-$21) for longer day trips.
For those who have more time, check out Calangute Beach, Aguada Fort or take a river cruise on the Mandovi River. If you have less time, skip Anjuna Market or Old Goa. To save costs, eat where the locals eat and avoid touristy areas. Stay in guesthouses or hostels and avoid fancy hotels.
Goa International Airport (GOI) also known as Dabolim Airport is the only airport in Goa. Located in the city of Dabolim, it is approximately 17 miles from Panaji, the capital city. Taxis and buses are available at the airport terminal to take you to your destination.
