4-Day Pune Itinerary for Nature Lovers in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Sinhagad Fort
    30 minutes (15 miles) from Pune Airport

    Start your day early with a visit to Sinhagad Fort for some breathtaking views of the valley. Take a trek to the top of the fort for a panoramic view of the surroundings. After enjoying some fresh air and nature, you can visit the Khadakwasla Dam located nearby. For lunch, head to the popular joint, Panshet Water Park, which serves delicious local cuisine. Spend your afternoon at the water park, enjoying water activities or simply relax by the lakeside. In the evening, head back to the city and visit the Shaniwar Wada Fort, to witness the light and sound show which narrates the history of the fort.

  2. Day 2: Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park
    40 minutes (14 miles) from Sinhagad Fort

    Spend your morning at Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, home to a variety of animals and birds. You can also visit the Katraj Snake Park located nearby. After lunch, head to the Pashan Lake for a serene boating experience. In the evening, visit the Pune Okayama Friendship Garden and enjoy a peaceful stroll amidst nature. End your day with a visit to the famous Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple to witness the evening aarti and seek blessings.

  3. Day 3: Mulshi Dam
    1 hour 30 minutes (33 miles) from Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park

    Embark on a scenic drive to Mulshi Dam, located amidst lush green hills, and is an ideal spot for nature lovers. Spend your day exploring the dam and its surroundings, and enjoy a picnic lunch by the lake.
