Family Friendly 3-Day Goa Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches of North Goa
    30 minutes (10.2 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, head to Baga Beach and enjoy a walk along the shore or a dip in the sea. Then, visit the Anjuna Flea Market for some souvenir shopping and delicious street food. For the afternoon, head to Fort Aguada and explore the historic fort and lighthouse. In the evening, head to Calangute Beach, grab dinner at one of the many beachside restaurants, and watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea.

  2. Day 2: Cultural Exploration of Old Goa
    30 minutes (11.3 miles) from Calangute Beach

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in India. Then, head to the Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia. For the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art and learn about the history of Christianity in Goa. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas and admire the colorful Portuguese-style houses.

  3. Day 3: Adventure and Nature in South Goa
    1 hour 10 minutes (32.1 miles) from Fontainhas

    In the morning, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls and take a dip in the refreshing pool of water at the base of the falls. For the afternoon, head to the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary and go on a safari to spot elephants, deer, and other wildlife. In the evening, visit the Palolem Beach and relax on the sandy shore or take a boat ride to see the dolphins.

Aside from the itinerary, you can also visit the Shri Manguesh Temple in Mardol, the Mahadev Temple in Tambdi Surla, or the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary for a unique experience. You can also take a day trip to the nearby spice plantations or visit the historic Portuguese fort and jail on Cabo de Rama. To maximize your fun, try water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, or banana boating at any of the beaches. Don't forget to indulge in Goan cuisine, which is known for its seafood, vindaloo, and bebinca.
