7-Day Adventure Itinerary for Spiti Valley in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kaza
    From Shimla, it takes around 10 hours (215 km) to reach Kaza.

    In the morning, visit the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary for a chance to spot the elusive snow leopard and other rare Himalayan wildlife. In the afternoon, explore Kaza town and visit the Sakya Tangyud Monastery. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tibetan meal at a local restaurant.

  2. Day 2: Ki Monastery
    It takes around 1 hour (13 km) to reach Ki Monastery from Kaza.

    In the morning, visit the Key Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the region. In the afternoon, hike up to the Kibber village, the highest motorable village in the world. In the evening, relax at a homestay in Kibber village.

  3. Day 3: Langza
    It takes around 2 hours (45 km) to reach Langza from Kibber village.

    In the morning, visit the fossil park in Langza to see fossils of marine animals that lived millions of years ago. In the afternoon, hike to the nearby Hikkim village, which has the world's highest post office. In the evening, spend time with a local family in Langza and enjoy a traditional dinner.

  4. Day 4: Pin Valley National Park
    It takes around 1 hour (20 km) to reach Pin Valley National Park from Langza.

    In the morning, explore the Pin Valley National Park, which is home to rare animals like the snow leopard, Siberian ibex, and Himalayan griffon.   5. Day 5: Dhankar Monastery
