Four Days Itinerary for Chennai in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Marina Beach
    20 minutes (7.8 km) from Chennai International Airport

    In the morning, head to the iconic Marina Beach, the longest natural urban beach in the country. Take a stroll along the shore, enjoy the sea breeze, and catch a glimpse of the fishermen's life. In the afternoon, visit the Chennai Lighthouse located on the southern end of the beach, which offers a stunning view of the city.   2. Day 2: Mahabalipuram
    1 hour and 30 minutes (60 km) from Chennai

    Spend the day exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mahabalipuram, famous for its ancient rock-cut temples and sculptures. In the morning, visit the Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas, and Arjuna's Penance. Enjoy a seafood lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Krishna's Butterball, a giant natural rock balanced on a hill, and the Tiger Cave, a rock-cut temple located on the outskirts of Mahabalipuram.

  3. Day 3: Kapaleeswarar Temple and Fort St. George
