Afternoon, head to Dakshin, a restaurant known for its authentic South Indian cuisine. Finally, head to Marina Beach to watch the sunset and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shore.

  2. Day 2: Fort St. George
    25 minutes (7.4 km) from Kapaleeshwarar Temple

    Begin your morning at Fort St. George, the first English fortress in India, which now houses a museum with exhibits on the history of the British East India Company. Afterward, visit the Government Museum, which houses one of the best collections of Roman antiquities outside of Europe.
