In the morning, we will drive to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek to the top offers breathtaking views of the surroundings. We will start our ascent early in the morning, and it will take around 3-4 hours to reach the peak. After lunch, we will visit Soochipara Waterfalls and explore the forest around it. In the evening, we will relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains from our hotel.
Today, we will visit Kuruva Island, a group of islands in the middle of the Kabini river. We will get on a bamboo raft and float down the river, enjoying the lush greenery and the sound of birds. After lunch, we will visit Edakkal Caves, an archaeological site with cave paintings and carvings. We will take a wildlife safari early in the morning, and if we are lucky, we might spot some rare species. After lunch, we will visit Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India. We can go boating or kayaking in the lake and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the evening, we will drive back to Kalpetta for our return journey.
