What’s driving the rush: travelers are prioritizing hands-on experiences and local flavor. Repeated requests called out pasta-making classes, gondola rides in Venice, historical tours such as the Vatican and Colosseum, private guiding options, and regional wine tours. Many plan to save on airfare by flying into Milan and favor Airbnbs and neighborhood trattorias over marquee tourist dining.
Greece also featured prominently, with several weeklong plans from March 7–14 that sandwich island time between Athens arrivals and departures. Mykonos and Paros are the most cited island stops, indicating a quick-hop Aegean circuit anchored by a single day of big-city sightseeing in the capital.
