India, Southeast Asia and Road Trips Lead a Busy Day of Travel Planning

Travelers mapped out 95 new itineraries on Plantrip.io in the past 24 hours, with India emerging as a clear hub for detailed, purpose-driven trips. Delhi, Agra, Kerala, Goa, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and the northeast all featured prominently, alongside plans ranging from Taj Mahal day trips to multi-city rail journeys and family holidays built around food, faith and nature.

Delhi and Agra remained especially popular, with travelers requesting practical private-car and train itineraries for the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Old Delhi’s historic food lanes. Several plans paired business with sightseeing, including a Mumbai-to-Delhi visit centered on IPHEX 2026 at Bharat Mandapam and pharmaceutical networking, while others looked to Delhi as a gateway to Shimla, Jaipur and wider northern India.

Asia-bound travelers also showed strong interest in city-and-beach combinations. Thailand itineraries included Pattaya, Krabi and Chiang Mai, while Singapore appeared both as a standalone short break and as a launch point for Bintan. Japan was on the calendar for a May 2027 journey from Edmonton through Tokyo and Osaka, and families departing Dubai were considering Hong Kong and Thailand with Indian and Pakistani dining preferences in mind.

Nature and active travel featured across the planning list, from Tasmania day hikes and a Quebec cross-country skiing trip to the Cabot Trail, Peggy’s Cove and Prince Edward Island. Other travelers were plotting a scenic autumn trek to Yulla Kanda, a road trip from Redmond to Olympic National Park’s Hoh Rain Forest, and a Denver-to-Chicago route via Mount Rushmore and golf stops.

European plans ranged from a relaxed Galicia road trip through Santiago de Compostela, Finisterra and the Cíes Islands to longer multi-country journeys linking Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy and Greece. With Budapest, Poland, Gran Canaria, London and Ireland also on travelers’ lists, the latest planning activity shows a broad appetite for trips that balance landmark sightseeing with local food, outdoor experiences and carefully managed budgets.
