Travelers mapped out 134 new itineraries on Plantrip in the past 24 hours, with ambitious multi-stop journeys across Asia and Europe taking centre stage. Japan, Vietnam, India and the UK featured prominently, while beach breaks, temple circuits and city-hopping holidays showed a clear appetite for trips that balance major sights with downtime.
Japan drew especially detailed plans, from a 14-night winter route linking Tokyo, Nozawa Onsen, Matsumoto, Kyoto and Osaka to longer self-drive explorations of Kyushu and Okinawa. Other travellers are building Tokyo-and-Osaka stays around Disney, Hakone, Universal Studios Japan, Hiroshima and Kyoto’s Arashiyama bamboo grove, combining pop-culture stops with classic sightseeing.
Vietnam was another standout, with itineraries connecting Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An and Phu Quoc. One carefully timed late-September route runs from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Sapa and Nha Trang, with a Fansipan cable-car visit among the planned highlights. Malaysia, Indonesia, China, South Korea and Singapore also appeared in plans shaped by food, beaches, shopping and cultural experiences.
India continued to inspire both short breaks and epic road trips. Goa from Hyderabad, Kashmir, Kerala, Mumbai, Varanasi, Somnath, Hampi and Rishikesh all featured, alongside a demanding 15- to 20-day driving circuit from Indore through major pilgrimage and heritage stops in southern India. Couples and families were also planning quieter escapes to Vagamon, Landour, Mussoorie and Visakhapatnam.
Across Europe, London remained a popular city break, with travellers pencilling in the Tower of London, British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Hampton Court and West End theatre. Italy plans ranged from Florence-and-Rome itineraries to longer routes through the country, while Greece, Croatia, Copenhagen, Bilbao, Malta and the Black Forest appeared in requests focused on affordable beaches, hiking, nightlife and local food.
