Asia and India dominated travel planning on Plantrip.io in the past 24 hours, as 114 newly created itineraries revealed a clear appetite for ambitious, experience-rich journeys. Travelers mapped everything from Bangkok, Vietnam and Japan circuits to Kerala escapes, Himalayan temple trips and Sri Lankan cultural routes.
Vietnam featured strongly in plans from Mumbai, Hyderabad and Melbourne, with travelers combining Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An and Phu Quoc. Thailand was another standout, particularly Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi and Chiang Mai, while several planners sought romantic December breaks designed around flights, visas and tightly managed budgets.
India’s domestic travel interest was notably diverse. Kerala drew requests for Munnar tea hills, Alleppey houseboats, Varkala beaches, Kochi and temple visits, while Uttarakhand routes centred on Rishikesh, Tungnath, Dehradun, Nainital and Mussoorie. Road-trip planners also looked toward Gokarna, Murudeshwar, Goa, Ooty and Gujarat’s Somnath, Dwarka, Gir and Diu circuit.
Long-haul travelers were planning more detailed, slower-moving adventures. Japan appeared repeatedly in requests ranging from 17-day countryside and Shikoku explorations to 45-day stays, while Peru itineraries paired Cusco and Machu Picchu with Lima. European plans stretched from Christmas markets in Zurich and the Alps to Malta, Spain, Uzbekistan and six-month, crowd-conscious journeys beginning in France.
North American itineraries showed a parallel preference for scenic drives and family-friendly landmarks. Yellowstone, Grand Teton and the Beartooth Highway featured in one Rocky Mountain plan, while Niagara Falls anchored several East Coast routes. Travelers also sought practical, lower-cost local escapes, including free or inexpensive activities in Red Deer, Alberta, and a solo day trip within an hour of West Yorkshire.
