Japan, Seoul and Family Trips Shape Plantrip’s Latest Travel Plans

Published October 21, 2026

Japan and South Korea featured prominently among the 100 itineraries created on Plantrip.io in the 24 hours leading up to October 21, 2026. Travelers mapped out trips ranging from a Fukuoka-based tour of Kyushu to tightly scheduled days in Seoul, pairing major sights with food stops and neighborhood shopping.

Several Kyushu requests revisited the same route: Takachiho Gorge, the Itoshima coast, Yufuin, Beppu and Kumamoto, with Fukuoka serving as a base. The plans were as interested in what to eat as what to see, naming Hakata ramen shops, yatai food stalls, Kumamoto ramen and seafood in Itoshima. Seoul planners were similarly specific, asking for efficient routes through Hongdae, Seongsu and Myeongdong, often built around a booked 5 p.m. Nanta show.

Families were planning across Asia, too. Requests included vegetarian-friendly Sri Lanka trips with young children, a Beijing visit for four families that puts Universal Studios on a birthday itinerary, and temple journeys to Ujjain and Omkareshwar. Elsewhere, travelers sought a dog-friendly winter cabin within driving distance of Columbus, Ohio, and an Aruba resort and yacht celebration for a 50th birthday.

The day’s requests also ranged well beyond short holidays. One traveler outlined four months of backpacking through Southeast Asia, while another planned a multi-country route through Switzerland, Slovenia and Croatia. Together, the itineraries show how varied travel planning was on October 21: from minute-by-minute city schedules to long journeys shaped around a single occasion or interest.
