What to Pack for t sd airport - Alaska airlines 9:42 – departure from San Diego / 1:22 pm arrival in Jackson Hole - Pick up van at Avis car rental - Drive to Snow King resort in Jackson Hole (18-minute drive), stay 1 night - Dinner at Hand Fire Pizza for Casaraes birthday in Jackson Hole? 7/27, Sunday - Get up early drive to Old Faithful Inn (approx. 2 hr. 20 min drive) stay 7/27-7/30 - Stop on way at Grant Village (bathroom stop) and West Thumb Geyser basin - Have lunch and pre check in or drop off luggage (official check in 4:00) - See Old Faithful, castle geyser, grotto geyser, chromatic pool, morning glory pool and any other geysers on the boardwalk we can fit in on this day. - Visit visitor center and do some junior ranger time - Dinner at our choice as I could not get a reservation for 7/27 at the inn. 7/28 Monday - Have breakfast at Inn - Drive to Midway geyser basin (10-15 min drive) - Walk boardwalk to see grand prismatic spring, excelsior geyser - Drive to fairy falls trailhead and short hike to grand prismatic overlook (0.6 miles each way and uphill, but manageable) - Firehole lake drive, one way scenic loop with bubbling pools, hidden geysers and steam.. Mini stops (don’t have to do) - Stop in Madison for lunch or shopping ? - Hit gibbons falls, artists paintpots and Norris geyser basin. - Dinner at the Inn at 5:15 (2 tables) 7/29 Tuesday - Have breakfast our choice - Head to Grand canyon of the yellowstone - Then to Hayden valley for viewing wildlife (bison, elk, etc) - Then off to Mud Volcano - On the way back go to West Thumb geyser basin and Lone star geyser (we can stop here on the way into yellowstone instead of on this day ? - Dinner at the Inn at 5:00 (2 tables) 7/30 Wednesday - Have breakfast - Head to Jackson Lake Lodge - Dinner at 5:30 at Jackson lodge 7/31 Thursday - Have breakfast - Private snake river scenic float trip (1 hour to get to location) so leave lodge at 10:00 , to arrive by 11:00, starts at 11:30 ( trip is 13 miles , 3 hours) - Drive back to lodge - Dinner at 5:15 at Jackson lodge 8/1 Friday - Have breakfast at lodge - go to Jenny lake and take shuttle across lake to go on short hike - Dinner our choice 8/2 Saturday - Have breakfast at lodge - Pack and drive to Jackson Hole for shopping and lunch - Go to Jackson Hole airport by 12:00-12:30 to return rental van and check in for flight which leaves at 2:02 and arrives in San Diego at 3:29 - Limo van to pick us up at SD airport to transport to condo - Packing Checklist
