Get a full day-by-day itinerary for On a school residential to the Peak District in The 15th of July at 5.00am till 17th of July at 5.30pm. This is the letter from school: We are now just 4 weeks from the visit and we plan to meet with students this week to arrange rooms and discuss expectations with them. In the event you need to speak with staff whilst we are away, you can contact us on the following number. 07542030743. Please be aware that phone reception at our accommodation address is very limited and, although we will try to respond as promptly as possible, a reply could be delayed because of this. In the event of an emergency outside of school hours, the school contact is 01603 975525. On Wednesday 15th July, it is essential that all students arrive to school promptly at 5.15am as we need to depart promptly at 5.30am to ensure we arrive at Twycross Zoo in time for our entry time. Please park in the front car park to enable the coaches to park at the rear. On our return, we will inform students of our arrival time once we get closer to home, so they can contact you. We are aiming to return for approximately 5.30pm on Friday 17" July. Again, can we ask that you park in the front car park to enable to coaches space to enter the site, manoeuvre and unload. We will be available to meet in person in the Main Hall on 8th July from 3.00-3.30pm if parents have any questions regarding the visit. Alternatively, we are available by email/edulink. We aim to keep you updated whilst we are away with photos posted on the PE Instagram feed @bhoa_enrichment, we usually post a high number of photos so parents and carers are able to see what the students have been up to. If you would rather photos of your child were not posted, please email [email protected] directly. If your child is too unwell to travel, please can you inform staff at the earliest opportunity. Arrive Broadland High Ormiston Academy (Pupils will be informed if the arrival time changes and therefore can communicate this home and we wi endeavourto communicate this via the BHOA enrichment Instagram (bhoa_enrichment) and via Edulink) Kit LISt A travel bag for: (A small drawstring bag will be provided for you to carry your lunch, workbook etc.) This will be given to you on Tuesday 14" July in our final meeting). 1 Food and Drinks: Remember that you will need to provide your own breakfast & lunch on Wednesday & snacks for the week Please note no glass bottles or food containing nuts (due to allergies within the traveling party, is a good idea to pack your lunch in disposable containers. You will need a refillable water bottle to use for the duration of the visit-a water fountain is available at ilam Hall. 2. Spending Money: You may wish to take some spending money to buy snacks and souvenirs. The amount is up to you - £30.00 is adequate. 3. Medication: a) If you are taking medicine when we go on the visit, please make sure that you have enough for the time that we are away. Please label medication clearly and if you wish staff to hold medication, please pass it to them on the morning of departure. b) Travel sickness - if you know that you are likely to suffer from this please make sure that you take your tablets according to the directions on the packet and that you have enough for the retum journey. These should be taken before travel commences! 4. Entertainment Equipment: A camera (a mobile phone can be used) especially if you wish to enter 'Photo of the Day' competitions! Games, magazines and whatever sweets/snacks are necessary for your survival - but NO chewing gum. Mobile phones will be collected from students at bedtime and will be available again from 7.00am. This is to ensure that students gain the required rest needed for the busy days. If, in the event of an emergency, students need to make contact home, this can be made via the teachers. See number above. 5. Workbook Equipment: -Pen, pencil, ruler A small suitcase/holdall - goes in coach boot 1. Washbag: - with shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant (no aerosols please) 2. Towel: - suitable size for showers 3. Nightwear: - remember that you are sharing a room! 4. Clothes: - enough for three days and evening activities. underwear - pants, socks etc - jeans/trousers/shorts * t-shirts * a jumper/sweatshirt - comfortable trainers/shoes (suitable for walking & adverse weather) - Waterproof clothing and sun lotion /E: This case goes into the boot of the coach and will not be available to you until we reach our accommodation on the Wednesday evening.
