Two-Day Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 13 minutes (33.7 km) from Mysore

    The Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary is the perfect place to start your Coorg visit. This sanctuary is located in the Western Ghats and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Start your morning with a nature walk on one of the many trails available and witness the beauty of the surrounding forests. In the afternoon, head towards the Brahmagiri Peak, which is located within the sanctuary, and enjoy the stunning views of the Western Ghats. In the evening, relax in the sanctuary's guesthouse enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (9.4 km) from Madikeri

    Abbey Falls is a picturesque waterfall located near Madikeri. Start your morning with a visit to the falls and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Afterward, head towards the Madikeri Fort, which is located nearby, and learn about the history of Coorg. In the afternoon, visit the Namdroling Monastery, which is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. In the evening, take a stroll around the Raja's Seat, which is a garden located in the heart of Madikeri and offers a stunning view of the valley.
