A Day in Coorg: Exploring the Best of Nature

  1. 9:00 AM: Abbey Falls

    Start your day with a visit to the stunning Abbey Falls, which is at its best during the monsoon season. You can hear the roar of the falls from a distance and then take a short trek to reach the falls. The lush green surroundings and the gushing water make for a breathtaking view.

    After enjoying the falls, head to the Mandalpatti View Point. It is a bumpy jeep ride away but the view from the top is worth it. You can see the Western Ghats stretching out for miles and the valley below. You can also go for a short trek from the viewpoint.

  3. 1:30 PM: Lunch at Coorg Cuisine

    After lunch, visit the Dubare Elephant Camp where you can watch elephants being bathed and fed. You can also take an elephant ride and go on a nature walk. The camp is set amidst lush greenery and the sound of gurgling water from the Kaveri river adds to the tranquility.

  5. 5:00 PM: Coorg Coffee Plantations
    45 minutes (19.8 miles) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    End your day with a visit to a coffee plantation. Coorg is famous for its coffee and you can take a tour of the plantations to learn about the coffee-making process. You can also try out some freshly brewed coffee and buy some coffee beans to take back home.
