3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Kedarnath in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

  2. Day 2: Chorabari Glacier
    1 hour 15 minutes (8.3 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Begin your day with a challenging trek to the Chorabari Glacier, also known as Gandhi Sarovar, which is situated at an altitude of 14,000 ft. The trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan range and the Mandakini river. In the afternoon, visit the Bhairav Temple, which is an important pilgrimage site for the locals. End your day by exploring the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to various rare species of flora and fauna.

  3. Day 3: Gaurikund
    1 hour 30 minutes (12.7 miles) from Chorabari Glacier

    Start your day by visiting the Gaurikund temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. It is believed that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married here. You can also indulge in a refreshing dip in the natural hot water springs located here. In the afternoon, head to the Sonprayag market to shop for local souvenirs. End your day by visiting the Triyuginarayan Temple, which is believed to be the exact spot where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married.
