2-Day Nature Itinerary in South Goa for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary
    30 minutes (12.5 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is a protected area that is home to a variety of bird species. In the morning, take a guided nature walk through the sanctuary with an expert naturalist. You'll have a chance to spot birds such as the white-throated kingfisher and the black-capped kingfisher. After lunch, take a boat ride along the Mandovi River to see more bird species and other wildlife, such as crocodiles. In the evening, head to the nearby Chorao Island and watch the sunset over the Mandovi River.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 30 minutes (47 miles) from Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

    Dudhsagar Falls is one of the most popular natural attractions in Goa. After an early breakfast, head to the falls and take a guided hike to the top. The hike takes about 2 hours and offers stunning views of the waterfall. After lunch, take a dip in the refreshing water at the base of the falls. In the evening, head to the nearby spice plantation and take a tour to learn about the various spices grown in the region.

If you have time, consider visiting the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as the Indian Bison and the Giant Indian Flying Squirrel. You could also take a side trip to the nearby Palolem Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa.
