  1. Day 1: Periyar National Park
    10 minutes (4.5 km) from Thekkady

    Start your day by visiting the Periyar National Park, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in India. Take an early morning boat ride to spot elephants, tigers, and other animals in their natural habitat. After the boat ride, head for a short trek in the forest. In the afternoon, visit the Spice Plantation, where you can learn about different spices and how they are cultivated. In the evening, attend a Kathakali performance, a traditional dance-drama of Kerala.

  2. Day 2: Mangala Devi Temple and Elephant Junction

    Start your day early and drive to Mangala Devi Temple, a 1000-year-old temple located in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. After the temple visit, head to Elephant Junction, where you can bathe and feed the elephants. Take an elephant ride and explore the nearby forest area.
