A Boston Getaway: Exploring the City, Bruins and Fenway Park

  • Day 1: Explore Downtown Boston
    15 minutes (3 miles) from Boston Common

    Begin your trip by exploring the historic heart of Boston. Visit Boston Common, the oldest park in the United States dating back to 1634, and check out the historic Massachusetts State House. Transportation

In Boston, the best way to get around is by foot, subway, or bus. The subway, known as the T, is an affordable way to travel throughout the city. A weeklong pass on the T costs $22.50. The Logan International Airport is just four miles from downtown Boston, and a taxi from the airport to downtown costs around $25.

If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the beautiful Cape Cod or visit Salem to learn about the infamous Witch Trials. If you have less time, consider skipping the Harvard Museum of Natural History or The Sinclair.
