2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Darjeeling in June 2024

  1. Day 1: Tiger Hill Sunrise

    Start your day early and head to Tiger Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Kanchenjunga mountain range. The view is an extraordinary experience and worth the early wake-up call. After the sunrise, head back to Darjeeling town for breakfast at the famous Keventer's. Try their delicious English breakfast and Darjeeling tea. After breakfast, take a joy ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the 'Toy Train.' The train ride offers spectacular views of the Himalayas and passes through several tunnels and bridges.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Sandakphu
    3 hours (58km) from Darjeeling town

    Embark on a scenic trek to Sandakphu, the highest peak in West Bengal. The trek takes about 3-4 hours, and the view from the top is well worth the effort. The trail passes through dense forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and oak trees and offers stunning views of the Kanchenjunga range. After the trek, head back to Darjeeling town for a late lunch at the iconic Glenary's Bakery. Try their delicious pastries and cakes along with a cup of Darjeeling tea. In the evening, head to the Batasia Loop and War Memorial to witness the sunset over the Himalayas.
