Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit the Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island shaped like a palm tree, and check out its luxurious hotels, restaurants, and beaches. You can also experience the thrill of dune bashing and sandboarding in the nearby desert or take a hot air balloon ride to see the city from above. Don't forget to try some local Emirati cuisine, such as machboos and luqaimat, and buy some dates and Arabic sweets as souvenirs.

For other local attractions, check out the Dubai Miracle Garden, Ski Dubai, and Dubai Parks and Resorts. You can also take a side trip to Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE, and visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. To maximize your fun, consider getting a Dubai City Pass or a Dubai Explorer Pass for discounted access to multiple attractions and activities. Lastly, don't hesitate to ask locals for recommendations and tips, as they are friendly and eager to help.
