South Goa on a Shoestring Budget in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Margao
    20 minutes (7.7 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your day by visiting the 450-year-old "Monte Hill" that offers a panoramic view of the town. Post that, head to the "Margao Municipal Park" located in the heart of the city and take a leisurely stroll. Afternoon, visit the "Largo de Igreja" or Church Square and explore the nearby heritage buildings. Later, head to the "Margao Market" that offers a variety of local products. End your day by enjoying some local street food at the market.

  2. Day 2: Colva Beach and Dudhsagar Falls
    30 minutes (8.7 miles) from Margao

    Start your morning by visiting the famous "Colva Beach" which is one of the oldest and largest beaches in South Goa. In the afternoon, take a road-trip to the famous "Dudhsagar Falls" which is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. You can reach there by a hired taxi or a rented bike. Evening, head back to Colva Beach and enjoy the nightlife at one of the nearby beach shacks.

  3. Day 3: Cavelossim Beach and Mobor Beach
    20 minutes (9.8 miles) from Colva Beach

    Start your day by visiting the "Cavelossim Beach" which is known for its white sand and black lava rocks. In the afternoon, head to the "Mobor Beach" which is famous for its water sports activities. Try your hand at parasailing, jet-skiing or banana boat rides. Evening, enjoy a beautiful sunset at the beach and relish some seafood delicacies.

  4. Day 4: Palolem Beach and Canacona
    25 minutes (11.5 miles) from Mobor Beach

    Start your day by visiting the famous "Palolem Beach" which is one of the most picturesque and serene beaches in South Goa. You can also try kayaking or dolphin spotting here. In the afternoon, head to "Canacona" and explore the "Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary" which is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Evening, head back to Palolem Beach and enjoy some live music performances at one of the nearby shacks.

There are various other local attractions that you can consider visiting such as the "Fort Aguada", "Basilica of Bom Jesus", "Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary", "Spice Plantations" and the "Naval Aviation Museum". You can also plan a day trip to the "Tiracol Fort" or the "Divar Island".
