Exploring South Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral
    30 minutes (14.8 km) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in India. This 400-year-old church is the final resting place of St. Francis Xavier. Afternoon, head to Se Cathedral, known for its magnificent architecture and largest bell in Goa. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Miramar Beach, just 20 minutes (6.4 km) away from the Se Cathedral.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Spice Plantations and Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 40 minutes (66.8 km) from Miramar Beach

    Spend the morning at the spice plantations and learn about various spices grown in Goa. Take a guided tour of the plantation, watch local artisans in action, and enjoy a traditional Goan meal. In the afternoon, visit the stunning Dudhsagar Falls, which is situated on the Mandovi River and known for its milky white water. If you're feeling adventurous, take a dip in the cool waters. End your day with some shopping at the Mapusa Market, just 40 minutes (23.4 km) away from the falls.

  3. Day 3: Visit the Forts and Beaches of South Goa
    1 hour (34 km) from Mapusa Market

    Start your day by visiting the Cabo de Rama Fort, situated on the southernmost tip of Goa, overlooking the Arabian Sea. Then, head to the Colva Beach, known for its white sands and coconut groves. Spend your afternoon at the Palolem Beach, which is surrounded by hills on both sides, providing a breathtaking view. In the evening, visit the historic Aguada Fort, which was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. End your day at the Baga Beach, known for its nightlife.
